IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA FX OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: FX's original comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is back for a 6th season, and that can only mean more antics from everyone's favorite bar owners! Step into Paddy's Pub with Mac (Rob McElhenney), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Charlie (Charlie Day), Dee (Kaitlin Olson), and Frank (Danny DeVito) – all friends working in harmony for a common cause: themselves. Last season saw the gang dabble in failed interventions, the poisoning of frat kids, footwear for kittens, dick towels, and an uncensored Christmas special with a gruesomely-violent claymation sequence. This year the stakes are higher, and so is the definition as we've made the switch to HD! Watch them tackle gay marriage, fight the class war, battle the high seas on a houseboat, bash rats, get repulsed by the McPoyles, deal with a very mysterious pregnancy and much more that you'll simply have to tune in to see. So come September check your conscience at the door and tell the kids to go play outside because it's about to get sunny in Philadelphia all over again. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was created by McElhenney and is executive produced by McElhenney, Day, Howerton, Michael Rotenberg, Nick Frenkel and Tom Lofaro. The show is produced by FX Productions.

“MAC FIGHTS GAY MARRIAGE” IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA Season 6 Premiere Episode Review, Airing 9/16/2010

IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA returns this week and brings with it some of the sickest comedy out there and that is why we love it! Mac, Dennis, Charlie, Sweet Dee, Frank, Waitress and Cricket all come back to us for a fun filled season of shenanigans. Rob McElhenney who plays Mac is the creator of this wonderful series. Rob also serves as a writer and executive producer of this hit show. In real life Rob is married to co-star Kaitlin Olson who plays Sweet Dee. Charlie Day collaborated with Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney in the creation of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and he is also a writer and an executive producer. Charlie plays Charlie Kelly and is married to Mary Elizabeth Ellis who plays Waitress. Glenn Howerton plays Dennis Reynolds, the son of Frank Reynolds. Frank Reynolds is played by our favorite troll foot, the amazing Danny DeVito. Cricket is played by David Hornsby. What a cast!

“MAC FIGHTS GAY MARRIAGE” makes one strong point and that is, Mac (Rob McElhenney) just wants to “get his pump on”. Mac runs into an old friend at the gym and he has questions, many, many questions! The gang is not afraid to get their hands dirty and steal from back alley residents. Mac finds he is conflicted about gay marriage and looks for a non-existing book for answers. Dennis (Glenn Howerton) and Dee (Kaitlin Olson) reminisce about their past experiences with Maureen (Chatherine Reitman) and Bill Pondersosa. Upon meeting Bill, Dee says something that we all want to say to people. Charlie (Charlie Day) and Frank (Danny DeVito) do some crafty self healing that leads to them down a very interesting path.

This premiere is an excellent start for a fantastic season of unrelenting comedy! Sometimes you just want to watch a show for pure entertainment and this is that show. Yes, they tackle deep subjects but all in good fun and the cast is wonderful. I know I set aside thirty minutes a week for some time in Paddy’s Pub with this gang. Watch new episodes of IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA Thursday nights at 10 PM EST only on FX!
