COVERT AFFAIRS fans get ready for the best episode of the season! “Communication Breakdown” showcases all of Auggie Anderson’s (CHRIS GORHAM) talents and I mean each and every one of them. This is required COVERT AFFAIRS viewing that is a visual masterpiece, perfect for any CHRIS GORHAM fan so if you have not started watching COVERT AFFAIRS yet, get with the program and start now, you will not be disappointed…oh wait, I lied, there is a little bit of a disappointment in the form of a Members Only jacket but it was tastefully done and not just in the form of gratuitous fashion. This is a great way to get introduced to the show and to my favorite character, Auggie. You get a glimpse into his back story and closet. Auggie shows his vulnerable side but demonstrates that can still stand on his own in love and war. Auggie must revisit his past in order to assist on a case involving a very familiar hacker.
Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) starts her morning by walking into the perfect setup but in the end will it compromise her? Jai Wilcox (Sendhil Ramamurthy) voices his opinion on the matter at hand and questions who can be trusted. Annie and Jai work together and yet so far apart on the case. Joan Campbell (Kari Matchett) fills us in on the three things that can turn a person and she puts her trust in Auggie to do the right thing. Annie stops by Auggie’s place and later shares her views on James Bond with him.
This episode is filled with ups and downs and even an “epic fail” but in the end you really get a sense of what is going on in Auggie’s mind. You get a sense of the frustration and insecurities that you normally never see him express. Generally when Auggie is onscreen he is always brimming with self assurance so it represents a different side of him but that also leads you into his playful and endearing side. “Communication Breakdown” is just a beautiful episode that explores every facet of human emotion. I recommend that you watch it!
Just in case you didn’t get the memo, COVERT AFFAIRS is the newest series on USA Network that stars Piper Perabo (“Coyote Ugly,” “Beverly Hills Chihuahua”), Christopher Gorham (“Ugly Betty,” “Jake 2.0”), Peter Gallagher (“The O.C.,” “American Beauty”), Kari Matchett (“Invasion”), Anne Dudek (“House,” “Mad Men”) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (“Heroes,” “It’s a Wonderful Afterlife”). The show is a ratings success and every episode is getting better and better. Watch it on Tuesday nights at 10 PM EST on USA Network!
