USA PRESS RELEASE: USA’s hit series, ROYAL PAINS, was the top-ranked new series in cable history, delivering more key demos than the freshman year of any other scripted series in history. The show stars Mark Feuerstein as Hank Lawson who after becoming blacklisted from the medical community revived his career as a “doctor for hire” to the rich, famous and infamous in the Hamptons. In addition to his wealthy patients, Hank treats the town’s less fortunate, and finds himself walking the line between doing well for himself and doing good for others. The show also stars Paulo Costanzo, Reshma Shetty and Jill Flint. Henry Winkler (“Arrested Development”) joins the cast this season as Eddie R. Lawson, Hank and Evan’s father. ROYAL PAINS is executive produced by Rich Frank, Paul Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz from the newly formed Prospect Park and written and co-executive produced by Andrew Lenchewski. John Rogers and Jace Alexander serve as co-executive producers. ROYAL PAINS is produced by Universal Cable Productions.
ROYAL PAINS Season 2 Premiere Episode Review:

ROYAL PAINS is back for a second season with their premiere episode entitled, SPASTICITY. When we last left Hank and the crew things were not going all that peachy for them. Evan announced that they were broke due to some bad financial dealings with an untrustworthy individual. The premiere doesn’t leave us hanging and starts off just where we left off. Where on earth is Dr. Hank Lawson (MARK FEUERSTEIN) is the theme of the beginning of the episode. Divya (RESHMA SHETTY) is holding down the fort until things can be contained. HENRY WINKLER joins the cast as Eddie R. Lawson and is apparently a big AEROSMITH fan. I am looking forward to seeing Henry this season so hopefully no one will cover him in bees. Accounting nightmares unfold along with the Pig Latin Scandal of 2010 and the need for fast cash. What can you do about a family’s bad judgment?

An infomercial star is in need of assistance and a better slogan if you ask me. MARCIA GAY HARDEN joins the cast as Dr. Elizabeth Blair and earns the award for most uncomfortable onscreen moment, TRUST ME! This episode contains a lot of fun aspects like one man construction crews, new use for lights, one of my favorite JARED LETO movies, rap wear and so much more. Evan (PAULO COSTANZO) gets involved in some dirty conversations. Luckily, some quick thinking pays off while Evan is contemplating joining the emergency beef cakes. In the end, Evan suffers a horrible loss and Hank plays some football. Yes, you really have to watch the show and trust me what a spectacular way to end the episode. I can’t wait for next week! Watch ROYAL PAINS at 10 PM EST on USA NETWORK on Thursday nights!!
