SONS OF ANARCHY FX OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: FX's original series, Sons of Anarchy, is an adrenalized drama with darkly comedic undertones that explores a notorious outlaw motorcycle club's (MC) desire to protect its livelihood while ensuring that their simple, sheltered town of Charming, California remains exactly that, Charming. The MC must confront threats from drug dealers, corporate developers, and overzealous law officers. Behind the MC's familial lifestyle and legally thriving automotive shop is a ruthless and illegally thriving arms business. The seduction of money, power, and blood. Jackson ‘Jax' Teller (Charlie Hunnam) is the MC's vice-president who is tested by his growing apprehension for its lawlessness, Gemma Teller Morrow (Katey Sagal) is Jax's force-of-nature mother, and Clarence ‘Clay' Morrow (Ron Perlman) is Jax's stepfather and MC president. The triangle of Mother, Son, and Stepfather will ultimately reveal the dark secrets in this family's past and the lengths they will go to protect their sins. This season begins with SAMCRO feeling powerless over Abel's kidnapping, especially Jax, whose grief sends him into deeper turmoil over his future with the club. The search for Abel sends our guys to Ireland, where Jax faces not only the Irish Republican Army, but an untold personal history as well. Meanwhile, still on the lam, Gemma is hit with some unexpected news and risks her freedom to deal with it.

“Bainne” SONS OF ANARCHY Season 3 Episode 11 Review, Airing 11/16/2010

SONS OF ANARCHY keeps us tethered to a short leash, as always in this week’s episode, “Bainne” which deals with a Jax’s struggle to make the toughest decision in his life. “Bainne” is written by Kurt Sutter, Regina Corrado and Dave Erickson. It is directed by one of my favorite directors, Adam Arkin. Adam Arkin always adds another dimension to any show that he works with and I know that his expertise in front of the camera really helps him connect with the actors, so he gets even more out of them. I really love Adam Arkin’s work!

Jax (Charlie Hunnam) has a sweet discussion with Trinity (Zoe Boyle), the sister he “nearly shagged”. Jax finally catches up with Agent Stahl (Ally Walker) and she informs him of the “priority” at hand. Maureen (Paula Malcomson) wants Jax to be reunited with his baby so she is assisting him however she can and she hopes a lead will come out of it. Clay (Ron Perlman) expresses his feelings to Mo and gives her something to hold on to. Jax is ready to find his son with the help of Opie (Ryan Hurst) and Gemma (Katey Sagal) wants to join him but Clay has some serious parting words. Things get heated and take an eerie turn but no matter how well they are played there are always consequences to every action.

Back in Charming, Tara (Maggie Siff) and Margaret (McNally Sagal) are still being held captive by Salazar (Jose Pablo Cantillo) and his girlfriend Louisa (Tara Macken). Chief Wayne (Dayton Callie) noticed that he is being left out of the loop in some very important matters and he is not too happy that someone lied to him and sold out his own department. Stahl’s other half, Agent Tyler (Pamerla J. Gray) is not stupid and she knows something is up with Stahl and Jax. Stahl believes she gave Chief Wayne a “little” bonus. One thing Stahl knows is psychos, so she offers her assistance. Stahl ends up saying a couple of choice words to Tig (Kim Coates) followed by a couple of not so choice words.

Jimmy O’ (Titus Welliver) is back and you know what usually follows in his path? The beauty of one shot sums up the whole series and their quest for what can never be. You can definitely see Adam Arkin’s vision really dominate this scene and it is a stunning realization into reality.

This episode concludes with a voice that will be heard around the world and what comes out of it, well I can’t tell you but I feel confident enough to say that you are not ready for half of what is in this episode. I certainly wasn’t! Kurt Sutter has us by the naughty bits something fierce this week. I commend him and want to smack him at the same time because it just isn’t humane, I tell you! If the episodes leading up to the season finale are this insane then what the hell does he have in store for us when finale time rolls around, which is right around the corner? This show is so intense that they really need to have an extensive warning at the beginning that states, forget everything that you think you know because you don’t know JAX! Watch SONS OF ANARCHY Tuesday nights at 10 PM EST only on FX!
