Makes Its DVD Debut This Fall

First Season of Series Starring Emmy® Winners Ray Romano and Andre Braugher and
Golden Globe® Winner Scott Bakula Comes to DVD Nov. 2; Second Season Premieres Nov. 29

TNT’s hit television series Men of a Certain Age, starring Emmy® winner Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), Emmy winner Andre Braugher (Homicide: Life on the Street, TNT’s Salem’s Lot) and Golden Globe® winner Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap) will make its DVD debut Nov. 2 with the release of Men of a Certain Age Season 1.  The release of the DVD will be followed by the premiere of the second season of Men of a Certain Age onNov. 29 on TNT.

Men of a Certain Age, one of the year’s most critically lauded new series, is a wry drama that explores the unique bonds of friendship among three men experiencing the changes and challenges of mid-life.  Braugher recently received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Owen in the show.

The two-disc DVD set, available for pre-orders July 13 and in retail stores on Nov. 2, will include all 10 episodes from the series’ first season.  Bonus features will include commentary by Romano, Braugher, Bakula and series co-creator Mike Royce; deleted scenes; a gag reel; and behind-the-scenes footage.  Men of a Certain Age Season 1 will carry a suggested retail price of $39.98.  Retailers can pre-order until Sept. 28.

Men of a Certain Age is from TNT Original Productions, created by Romano and fellow Everybody Loves Raymond Emmy winner Mike Royce.  Romano and Royce serve as executive producers, along with Rory Rosegarten and Cary Hoffman.  TNT has ordered a 12-episode second season of the series, which ranked as one of the top-rated original shows on the network.

Men of a Certain Age Season 1 on DVD also marks a first-ever partnership between TNT and its sister company, Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), the DVD production and licensing division of the kids television network.  TNT and CNE have partnered to create and market the DVD, leveraging CNE’s expertise in DVD production and marketing.  To support the DVD release, television advertising will air on TNT and TBS, and a national online campaign will target entertainment and women-targeted sites such as People.com, Oprah.com and EW.com, among others.  Warner Home Video will handle distribution.

Men of a Certain Age focuses on Joe (Romano), a friendly, 40-something, slightly neurotic, recently separated father of two who had dreams of being a professional golfer but instead owns and runs a party store.  He has two best friends: Owen (Braugher), an overstressed husband and father who is a car salesman at his dad’s dealership; and Terry (Bakula), an offbeat, handsome, intelligent and still-struggling-to-make-it actor.  The three men have been best friends since college but now, in their 40s, are navigating through the second act of their lives.
