ALICIA KEYS Live Show & Live Photos by Lena Lamoray

ALICIA KEYS is best known for her soulful voice and musicality. She has released four studio albums and one live and is currently on tour promoting her latest release, THE ELEMENT OF FREEDOM. Alicia is not only a Platinum selling artist and multiple Grammy Award winner but also an actor appearing in everything from THE COSBY SHOW to the fun hit SMOKIN’ ACES which also featured COMMON, RYAN REYNOLDS, JEREMY PIVEN, BEN AFFLECK and a ton of other top billed stars. Alicia has performed with pretty much everyone in the music industry including JAY-Z and JACK WHITE from THE WHITE STRIPES just to name a few. Alicia Keys is also known for her charitable work. She co-founded KEEP A CHILD ALIVE whose mission statement is, “dedicated to providing life-saving anti-retroviral treatment, care and support services to children and families whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India by directly engaging the global public in the fight against AIDS.” You can’t ask much more of a person than what she does for those who are less fortunate. Alicia is responsible for bringing attention and aid to causes that really need a strong spokesperson to be a voice for them.

Alicia Keys took THE FREEDOM TOUR to Boston and played to a packed house. I saw Alicia in Boston a few years ago and she was even better this time around. I know how can that be? The woman just oozes pure talent that is beyond comprehension. Her vocal range is diverse and I’ve never seen a bad performance by her either live or on television. She is just a natural vocalist and performer. She melded perfectly with her back up dancers. Her sequined pants were pretty cool, too! I am a fan of the sequins. The show began with digital images and a message from Alicia. She came out in a cage and quickly gained her freedom and so THE FREEDOM TOUR began. She dominated the stage with charisma and the ability to be able to dance and sing in fog. I really thought JOHN CARPENTER was behind me ready to make another movie. I do believe that behind the stage was the biggest fog machine known to man, someone should study it. Seriously though, that was a lot of smoke and she is even more talented than I previously thought to be able to handle that on a nightly basis. Amazing! Her performance of LOVE IS BLIND was enough to sell the whole show. If you are looking to attend an unbelievable show that showcases pure talent than go and see ALICIA KEYS and pick up her new album, THE ELEMENT OF FREEDOM.
