TERRIERS FX PRESS RELEASE: Terriers from Creator/Executive Producer Ted Griffin (Ocean’s Eleven, Matchstick Men) and Executive Producer Shawn Ryan (The Shield), is a comedic drama starring Donal Logue (The Tao of Steve) and Michael Raymond-James (True Blood). It centers on “Hank Dolworth” (Logue), an ex-cop, who partners with his best friend “Britt Pollack” (Raymond-James) in an unlicensed private investigation business. Comedic, edgy, original, a show about high stakes in the face of low expectations, Terriers explores what it’s like in today's America to be “too small to fail.” Co-stars include Laura Allen (Dirt) as “Katie,” Britt’s girlfriend; Rockmond Dunbar (Prison Break) as “Detective Mark Gustafson,” former colleague of Hank; and Jamie Denbo (Weeds) as “Maggie Lefferts,” Hank’s attorney. Craig Brewer (Hustle and Flow, The Shield) directed the pilot episode. Terriers is produced by Fox 21.

TERRIERS “Asunder” Tenth Episode Review, Airing 11/10/2010

Get ready to turn on the waterworks, since this week’s TERRIERS will really pull at your heartstrings! “Asunder” deals with Hank fighting the urge to drink on Gretchen’s wedding day. Hank stumbles back onto the radar of the conspiracy threatening Ocean Beach. “Asunder” is written by Ted Griffin and Nicholas Griffin and also directed by Ted Griffin. We are so fortunate to be treated to a very special episode from the creator of TERRIERS!

Hank (Donal Logue) is someone that you definitely want to invite to your house when he is trying to keep himself occupied because he turns into a domestic extraordinaire. Hank does find out that all of the menial tasks in the world could never mask the pain and loss inside of him. It’s nice to know that Hank and I like our toast the same way, with jelly. I knew I could hang out with him because how a person likes their toast is the key to their soul. Think about it, you know Hitler liked his toast burnt to a crisp, well I think that says it all! Britt “clap your hands” Pollack (Michael Raymond-James) meets up with Hank in the diner prior to the wedding and gives him a movie recommendation but Hank wants to go another route, something along the lines of “Blade”.

Britt and Katie (Laura Allen) are at Gretchen (Kimberly Quinn) and Jason’s (Loren Dean) wedding when Britt finds himself needing Hank’s assistance and luckily Hank is ready, willing and able to help. Hank is fighting a battle that he is setting himself up to lose but as he purifies himself he stumbles upon exactly what he needs. Britt can’t be of assistance but he puts the signal out and the squad comes in full force and ready to infect.

Our good pals, Ben Zeitlin (Michael Gaston) and Burke (Daren Scott) grace us with their not so pleasant presence. They are “entertaining” a reporter, Laura Ross (Alison Elliot) in the same hotel as the wedding is taking place. They live up to their charming reputation and just want to know what she is up to in Ocean Beach because they are caring like that. Luckily, Hank is around and he made a promise to Father Michael so all is good!

Britt and Katie discuss weddings and all that goes into them. You know they would throw the best wedding in history! I imagine it would be a cozy get together with close friends just waiting for Winston (Buster) to make the rings reappear. They also discuss the future and what they are ready for.

TERRIERS delivers a very impressive tenth episode! This series is one of the best ones out there. It is a mix of every emotion you can fathom and unlike other shows it does not dumb anything down. It is cleverly written because TERRIERS knows its audience demands more for their hour of life that they are donating to Hank and Britt. This week’s ending made me cry, yet again. I swear TERRIERS should be sponsored by Kleenex because the whole cast is so amazing that I always end up bursting into tears. It ends so exquisitely with Hank delivering a couple of simple words that mean so much, “I don’t”! Another masterpiece will grace your television set tonight. The only complaint I have is the same one I had last week, no Gustafson (Rockmond Dunbar)! I missed him last week and now this week I am Rockmond less, again. Watch TERRIERS Wednesday nights at 10 PM EST only on FX!
