TERRIERS FX PRESS RELEASE: Terriers from Creator/Executive Producer Ted Griffin (Ocean’s Eleven, Matchstick Men) and Executive Producer Shawn Ryan (The Shield), is a comedic drama starring Donal Logue (The Tao of Steve) and Michael Raymond-James (True Blood). It centers on “Hank Dolworth” (Logue), an ex-cop, who partners with his best friend “Britt Pollack” (Raymond-James) in an unlicensed private investigation business. Comedic, edgy, original, a show about high stakes in the face of low expectations, Terriers explores what it’s like in today's America to be “too small to fail.” Co-stars include Laura Allen (Dirt) as “Katie,” Britt’s girlfriend; Rockmond Dunbar (Prison Break) as “Detective Mark Gustafson,” former colleague of Hank; and Jamie Denbo (Weeds) as “Maggie Lefferts,” Hank’s attorney. Craig Brewer (Hustle and Flow, The Shield) directed the pilot episode. Terriers is produced by Fox 21.
TERRIERS “RING-A-DING-DING” Sixth Episode Review, Airing 10/13/2010
Hank really shows his soft side in TERRIERS this week. “Ring-A-Ding-Ding” deals with loss and the painful side of the truth as Hank and Britt search for an engagement ring. It was written by Angela Kang and directed by Billy Giehart.
It is party time for the gang and Britt (Michael Raymond-James) and Katie (Laura Allen) make the most of getting party ready. Hank (Donal Logue) brings along a “pity date”. Steph (Karina Logue) is the comic relief during this not so great moment for Hank. Hank has to deal with Gretchen’s (Kimberly Quinn) upcoming marriage to “not Hank.” Jason (Loren Dean) has a complicated discussion with Hank.
Maggie (Jamie Denbo) brings in Hank and Britt to locate a “missing” engagement ring for a client. Their search brings them to a hair salon where Hank discusses braids but ends up taking it to the car wash. They hunt down a master ring wearer but he only steals from Pee Wee Herman. The tables get turned and Hank and Britt do what they can to make it right.
Britt delivers the news that we have been waiting for all season, “everyone will poop successfully”. Katie is joining her classmates at karaoke night and she delivers one hell of a surprising performance. Who knew she had that in her?
Donal Logue as Hank really shines in this episode and yes I totally cried. Hank demonstrates what an amazing friend and person he is. He comes to the aid when people need him the most. Everyone deserves to have a Hank in their lives. This is the most emotionally charged episode of the season so far so don’t miss it. Watch TERRIERS Wednesday nights at 10 PM EST only on FX!
