JUSTIFIED FX RELEASE:  Developed by Graham Yost (Boomtown, Speed) and starring Timothy Olyphant (Damages, Deadwood), Justified is based on the works of crime novelist Elmore Leonard, including Leonard's short story Fire in the Hole. Fresh off the epic gun battle that concluded season one, season two of Justified finds Bo Crowder dead, and the Crowder criminal grip on Harlan County broken. Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Olyphant) must now face off against the criminal organizations that are moving to fill the void, and finds himself entangled once again with the mercurial Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins).  The series co-stars Nick Searcy (CSI) as Givens' longtime friend and boss 'Chief Deputy Art Mullen;' Jacob Pitts (21) as 'Deputy Marshal Tim Gutterson;' Erica Tazel (Life) as 'Deputy Marshal Rachel Brooks;' Joelle Carter (CSI: Miami) as 'Ava Crowder;' Boyd Crowder's sister-in-law; and Natalie Zea (Hung) as Raylan's ex-wife 'Winona Hawkins.' Walton Goggins (The Shield) also stars as 'Boyd Crowder.' Yost (Boomtown, The Pacific, Band of Brothers) wrote the pilot and serves as Executive Producer/Writer on the series. Leonard (Cuba Libre, Rum Punch, Get Shorty) is also an Executive Producer on the series along with Fred Golan (Boomtown, Raines), Sarah Timberman (Kidnapped), Carl Beverly (Kidnapped) and Michael Dinner (Karen Sisco), who directed the pilot episode. Justified is produced by Sony Pictures Television and FX Productions.

JUSTIFIED “Debts and Accounts” Season Two Episode 10 Advance Review, Airing 4/13/2011

I know everyone loved last week’s festive and deadly episode of JUSTIFIED and this week, I have two words for you, Boyd Crowder.  I know I can never get enough of Boyd (Walton Goggins) and his subdued integrity.  I am sure only Brad William Henke and his agent shed tears when Coover Bennett passed away.  He will not be missed on my end and I’m sure you agree with me.  Coover was creepy and he had it coming.  “Debts and Accounts” – Raylan and Winona’s idyll is shattered by violence, as Boyd and the Bennetts struggle to rise from the ashes of chaos in Harlan. Written by Chris Provenzano; Directed by John David Coles.

Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) confronts Art Mullen (Nick Searcy) and mentions that he is worried about Loretta McCready (Kaitlyn Dever).  Raylan also wants to know where they are going to go and Art’s answer may surprise you.

Mags Bennett (Margo Martindale) meets up with Helen Givens (Linda Gehringer) and their conversation consists of rejecting sin, fate, history and God, you know the usual light brunch talk.  Another guest joins them and Mags lighter side just radiates with unique goodness.  Yes, that is how I will get through the night.

What is it about Boyd?  He even manages to butter his toast with coolness.  Walton Goggins is positively amazing at bringing Boyd to life and his attention to even the most delicate details of his character are mind-blowing.  When I get stressed I am going to channel my inner Boyd to help me get through it.  Boyd would be a perfect speaker for one of those self-help seminars.  He has a conversation with Ava about embarking on journeys and the things that give him a reason to get up in the morning.  The chat is sweet and insightful.

Raylan and Winona (Natalie Zea) have been playing one sided phone tag and Raylan is set to write her phone’s eulogy.  Winona has a transportation meltdown and needs assistance.  Raylan is more than happy to help out but a car ride with him is more than just that.  Raylan soon finds himself becoming a traffic cop.  One of my favorite Raylan qualities is his willingness to share anything that is on his mind.  The words Raylan and shy are never to be uttered in the same sentence and I love that about him.  He keeps things real.

Loretta is having a hard time dealing with things and Raylan is called upon to help out.  Apparently, Loretta isn’t too fond of Oprah.

Mags discovered the only thing Coover excelled in and that would be his “personal consumption” skills that led to the perfect blend.  Mags informs Dickie Bennett (Jeremy Davies) of what is to come and what is expected of him.

Boyd visits his cousin, Johnny Crowder (David Meunier) and discusses “Crowder control” and what that means to him.  As you can imagine, Johnny wasn’t all that excited to see Boyd.

Hey “Supernatural” fans, The Trickster (Richard Speight Jr.) is present in Harlan County and he has a special conversation with Dickie about a conflict of interest.  Now if only Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) stop by we could really have a party.

Winona and Raylan talk about divorce and Raylan contemplates the age old man question, to stache or not to stache.  I think he could pull it off beautifully, but that is just my opinion.  Raylan expresses his true feelings about his current situation and Neil Young; as they find themselves on the road again.  Raylan manages to find a fan club no matter where he hangs out.

Boyd is on the quest for the perfect messenger service and he may have found a winner.  Boyd brings his inner Tom out and it really works for him.  You will have to watch JUSTIFIED this week to see exactly what I am talking about.  All I can say is, it is about time.

This season of JUSTIFIED has been sensational and I have to give extra props to Timothy Olyphant, Joelle Carter, Margo Martindale and of course, my favorite scene stealer, Walton Goggins.  The entire cast is incredible and together they provide one delightful weekly hour of entertainment.  Do not miss JUSTIFIED Wednesday nights at 10 EST only on FX.
