KARNIVOOL was so magnificent live that an audience member, who has asked for anonymity, revealed to me that, “KARNIVOOL’s sound was so intense that it hurt my man parts.”  I cover a lot of shows and that was the first time that I have ever been told that, so either the guy really, really loved the show so much it brought him to physical pain or that was the worst attempt of a pick-up line, ever.   I have to agree with “Frank”, KARNIVOOL is the most intense show you will ever see and they certainly do something interesting to all the right parts of you.   KARNIVOOL will make you feel things on a level that you didn’t even know existed.  How many bands can you say that about?  I can not say enough good things about this band and to prove my point about how mesmerizing they are live, my friends that came to the show, having never seen the band heard one song and then proceeded to run to the back of the venue screaming like little girls to buy t-shirts and CDS.  After that they made their way closer to the stage wearing said t-shirts and I’m pretty sure they just threw the shirts out that they were wearing, so sorry former band shirt you have been replaced by the VOOL.

KARNIVOOL is composed of only some of the finest musicians in the world, Ian Kenny, Drew Goddard, Mark Hosking, Jon Stockman and Steve Judd.  Their guitar pedals look like something straight out of NASA with of course a bit of the key element that makes everything better, duct tape.  These Australian marvels really know how to work a crowd.  Ian Kenny is not only a bloody fantastic vocalist but his dancing skills orchestrate his charm perfectly.  Kenny is an enigma wrapped in a very striking package.

A few of the highlight songs of the night were “Set Fire to the Hive”, “All I Know”, “Deadman” and “New Day”.  If you have not realized it already, I will admit that I am completely in love with all that is KARNIVOOL.  They are just so amazing both on and off stage.  I have gotten the chance to interview several members of the band and they are just the nicest guys.  Kenny has to be my favorite person that I have ever interviewed and I have interviewed nearly everyone.  I could have spoken to him for hours.  He is just so intriguing.  KARNIVOOL really appreciates their fans and are touring the world for our entertainment, so how much more could you ask for?  They took the time to sign autographs and take photos with everyone at the venue and I think that is so important.

KARNIVOOL is an addiction that can only be cured by more KARNIVOOL and to prove that I am not the only one jonesing for more, just look at the numbers, they were in the US earlier this year and they came back to a crowd triple the size.  I waited in line to get into the show and I have only had to wait in one other line this year, the ADAM LAMBERT line so I would say they are doing something right.  I’m so happy that they venue jumped in such a short period of time and by next year they will be in arenas so make sure you check out  KARNIVOOL  now while you can still get close and personal.  I highly recommend you check out KARNIVOOL.  Go and see them live, pick up a CD and buy a t-shirt.   These incredible men are more than worth your time!
