“Fruit for the Crows” Sons of Anarchy Season 4 Episode 7 Advance Review, Airing 10/18/2011
This season of Sons of Anarchy is really starting to get intense and last week was just the beginning of what is to come. We said goodbye to Miles (Frank Potter) and now Juice (Theo Rossi) has to deal with what he has done. Juice isn’t like the others and he doesn’t have the Tig (Kim Coates) gene, so his decision to end the life of one of his brothers to save his own is going to have some major consequences. Juice is feeling the pressure and he deals with it conventionally and unconventionally. If you were in his situation, what would you do? “Fruit for the Crows” -- SAMCRO deals with the fallout from a death threat made against Tara. Written by Kurt Sutter and Liz Sagal; directed by Gwyneth Horder-Payton.
The note that was found in Tara’s (Maggie Siff) car has everyone scrambling and trying to figure out the source of the threat. It makes Tara question her actions and Gemma (Katey Sagal) is there to remind Tara of her “normal life.” The conversations between Tara and Gemma are always my favorite. Gemma can relate to Tara in a way that no one can and it brings out Gemma’s softer side. You can tell that she really cares about Tara and she knows that she is the best thing to ever walk into Jax’s (Charlie Hunnam) life.

The boys go with Alvarez (Emilio Rivera) for a closer look at the operation and things take an interesting turn that involves some high speed action not to be missed. Alvarez has the best smartass answer to a serious question. Emilio is fantastic in this episode.
Roosevelt (Rockmond Dunbar) is looking for two different kinds of samples from Juice this week. This man is insatiable and the man behind the curtain, Linc (Ray McKinnon) is far from scrupulous. Juice is tired and his response to Roosevelt is brilliant. Linc is counting on the inevitable and he thinks he has everyone figured out.

Opie (Ryan Hurst) and Lyla (Winter Ave Zoli) have not had a very easy marriage and honestly, Opie can only blame himself for that one. He does wake up and understand exactly how much Piney (William Lucking) loves him.
Chibs (Tommy Flanagan) is full of suspicions and he demonstrates why you would not want to be near him in a mosh pit.
Clay (Ron Perlman) has a conversation with Juice that may put a tear in your eye. This is Theo’s best episode to date. He really shines and makes you love him even more. Juice, as wrong as it may be, did what he had to do to come out alive. No one puts Juice in a corner. I will leave you with that horrible Dirty Dancing reference and I apologize for that. It had to be said. You need to really engage all of your senses tonight and enjoy this fantastic episode.
Don’t miss another thrilling episode of Sons of Anarchy tonight. I am sweating just thinking about what the season finale is going to consist of. You know Kurt Sutter is saving something extra special for us. Words cannot express how much I love this show.
