SONS OF ANARCHY FX OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: FX's original series, Sons of Anarchy, is an adrenalized drama with darkly comedic undertones that explores a notorious outlaw motorcycle club's (MC) desire to protect its livelihood while ensuring that their simple, sheltered town of Charming, California remains exactly that, Charming. The MC must confront threats from drug dealers, corporate developers, and overzealous law officers. Behind the MC's familial lifestyle and legally thriving automotive shop is a ruthless and illegally thriving arms business. The seduction of money, power, and blood. Jackson ‘Jax' Teller (Charlie Hunnam) is the MC's vice-president who is tested by his growing apprehension for its lawlessness, Gemma Teller Morrow (Katey Sagal) is Jax's force-of-nature mother, and Clarence ‘Clay' Morrow (Ron Perlman) is Jax's stepfather and MC president. The triangle of Mother, Son, and Stepfather will ultimately reveal the dark secrets in this family's past and the lengths they will go to protect their sins. This season begins with SAMCRO feeling powerless over Abel's kidnapping, especially Jax, whose grief sends him into deeper turmoil over his future with the club. The search for Abel sends our guys to Ireland, where Jax faces not only the Irish Republican Army, but an untold personal history as well. Meanwhile, still on the lam, Gemma is hit with some unexpected news and risks her freedom to deal with it.
“June Wedding” SONS OF ANARCHY Season 3 Episode 12 Review, Airing 11/23/2010
With the season three finale of SONS OF ANARCHY almost upon us, you know they are going to set up some stimulating scenarios for us to feast on and you will not be disappointed! “June Wedding” deals with Jax’s choice between revenge and the good of Charming. “June Wedding” teleplay is by Chris Collins, story by Kurt Sutter and directed by Phil Abraham.
Finally, SAMCRO is back in Charming and Gemma (Katey Sagal) only wants two things, to sleep in her own bed and answers from Jax (Charlie Hunnam) about his dealings with Agent Stahl (Ally Walker). Obviously, Gemma is not a card holding member of her fan club.
Salazar (Jose Pablo Cantillo) is a pretty shade of crimson as he leaves a sloppy trail behind him.
Opie (Ryan Hurst) consults the one person that will give it to him straight and he takes the advice to heart and follows through. I am so happy that Opie is finally letting his hair down and lending Jax some calendar hunk support.
Clay (Ron Perlman) has a talk with Chief Wayne (Dayton Callie) about the future of Charming and what kind of town it will be if things go according to Jacob Hale Jr.’s (Jeff Kober) plan. Later on, Chief Wayne checks in on Gemma and she plants a seed as he tearfully thanks her for the chat and acknowledges that it is all going away.
Agent Stahl welcomes her “favorite frequent fliers” back and chats up Jax. Jax tells her about Jimmy O’ (Titus Welliver) and his dealings with the Russians and what has to be done to secure his safe passage. Jax wants to set up a meeting between two prisoners, our very much missed Otto (Kurt Sutter) and Lenny the Pimp. I’m hoping that means Otto will get some screen time in the finale but don’t get your knickers in a bunch because Kurt already said that you will never see Otto’s exposed derriere and I guess that is a good thing because he is in prison. Jax tells Stahl exactly what he needs to free his mind.
Clay reaches out to Alvarez (Emilio Rivera) about Salazar and what will happen when Hale takes over and Juice (Theo Rossi) gives us a history lesson.
Chucky (Michael Marisi Ornstein) exchanges “honest” words with Gemma. Gemma has an agenda and it involves knowing priorities and ending livelihoods.
Salazar has a new plan that involves even more bodies, bloodshed and possibly a trip to New Zealand. Luckily, the first power is involved and will take all of the ending credit. Jax has a decision to make, should he put out the fire or let it burn? What do you think he will do? You know what happens next, it was only time before the coldness prevailed and a certain someone would take some radical action to get ahead.
We finally find out what has been going on between Tig (Kim Coates) and Kozik (Kenny Johnson) and trust me, you would never have guessed what all the pent up anger was about and I respect them both so much more now for it now that I know.
“June Wedding” ends beautifully and viciously and I can’t wait to see the finale. Charlie is such an intense actor and there is this one scene that if you never watched the show prior to it and just happened to flick your TV on you would go, “who the hell stole this guy’s cookie”. Charlie Hunnam is a rare breed of beauty, intensity and charisma that just can’t be contained. I guarantee that we will all be yelling at our television screens next week like last season’s, why…why…why finale. Don’t miss SONS OF ANARCHY on Tuesday nights at 10 PM EST only on FX!
