“Kiss” Sons of Anarchy Season 4 Episode 9 Advance Review, Airing 11/1/2011

Last week we lost one of the good guys and co-founder of the Sons of Anarchy, Piermont “Piney” Winston, so let us take a moment to celebrate his life.  What was your favorite Piney moment?  William Lucking did a beautiful job bringing him to life for four seasons. Piney left Charming, the only way anyone ever leaves Charming, not breathing.  R.I.P Piney and luckily, today is Halloween so he can tell his story.  “Kiss” – SAMCRO gets word that the Niners have made a new alliance that directly impacts their own agenda.  Written by Regina Corrado and Marco Ramirez; directed by Billy Gierhart.

Do you think that Clay (Ron Perlman) has life insurance or is there an uninsurable ass clause that prevents him from being insured?  I can’t see him making it to season five alive.  Who do you think will cancel Clay’s Earth membership?  A stoning is in order if you ask me.

Chibs (Tommy Flanagan) has an interesting conversation with Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and we get to find out a little more about his past.  Tommy Flanagan is a brilliant actor and I can honestly say, out of everyone on the show, he’s the one actor that I would love to know more about.

Clay is famous for offering everyone the world and falling short and his mouth and actions are going to get him into even more trouble.

Lincoln Potter (Ray McKinnon) is working out the kinks in his “Plan B” and he demonstrates again that his safe place is on top of a table.

Luis (Benito Martinez) means business and negotiating is not something that he believes in but I think that is a given when you go into business with the Galindo Cartel, or any cartel for that matter.  Jax really shows off his accent, so you know what that means…a lot of yelling.  Luis is not familiar with the way things need to be and this sentence puts everything in perspective, “This isn’t Mexico, we are not kings here.”  I’m curious to know how many of you play the Jax “bro” drinking game.  He throws that word around rather frequently.

I love the conversation between Gemma (Katey Sagal) and Wayne (Dayton Callie) and it brings up some rather interesting questions and revelations.

Tara (Maggie Siff) and Gemma actually really agree on something and now if a third party would join in, life would be sweet.

Otto (Kurt Sutter) gets a special visitor and no, it’s not the Christmas episode of Sons of Anarchy. A Christmas Carol episode based on Otto’s life would be so sad.  Poor Otto, rotting inside a prison cell and almost always forgotten about until the club needs another favor.  He’s the most tragic character of them all.  Otto gets to throw the biggest stone.

Jax and Clay have that conversation from the commercial that involves the statement, “I guess we both lied.”  Clay loves to run his mouth off.

Gemma gets playful and reaches out to Clay for assurance.  Clay is such a politician and this week I caught him quoting lyrics from a Bryan Adams song, so everyone run, “Run to the Hills” because Iron Maiden is a far better fit.  Yes, I’m putting together a Clay Morrow mix tape as we speak.  I think every character should have theme music.

Don’t miss an all new episode of Sons of Anarchy, Tuesday night on FX.
