SONS OF ANARCHY FX OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE:  FX's original series, Sons of Anarchy, is an adrenalized drama with darkly comedic undertones that explores a notorious outlaw motorcycle club's (MC) desire to protect its livelihood while ensuring that their simple, sheltered town of Charming, California remains exactly that, Charming. The MC must confront threats from drug dealers, corporate developers, and overzealous law officers. Behind the MC's familial lifestyle and legally thriving automotive shop is a ruthless and illegally thriving arms business. The seduction of money, power, and blood.  Jackson ‘Jax' Teller (Charlie Hunnam) is the MC's vice-president who is tested by his growing apprehension for its lawlessness, Gemma Teller Morrow (Katey Sagal) is Jax's force-of-nature mother, and Clarence ‘Clay' Morrow (Ron Perlman) is Jax's stepfather and MC president. The triangle of Mother, Son, and Stepfather will ultimately reveal the dark secrets in this family's past and the lengths they will go to protect their sins.  This season begins with SAMCRO feeling powerless over Abel's kidnapping, especially Jax, whose grief sends him into deeper turmoil over his future with the club. The search for Abel sends our guys to Ireland, where Jax faces not only the Irish Republican Army, but an untold personal history as well. Meanwhile, still on the lam, Gemma is hit with some unexpected news and risks her freedom to deal with it.

“Firinne” SONS OF ANARCHY Season 3 Episode 10 Review, Airing 11/9/2010

This week on SONS OF ANARCHY the IRA wants proof that one of their own has flipped and SAMCRO intends to give it to them. “Firinne” is written by Kurt Sutter and Vaun Wilmott and directed by Gwyneth Horder-Payton.

What an episode is all I have to say but I suppose you want to hear a bit more.  As the MC deals with their five member loss they speak with Father Kellan Ashby (James Cosmo) about what needs to be done.  Father Kellan says that they must prove that Jimmy O’ (Titus Welliver) is responsible for blowing up the truck that killed their brothers.

Back in Charming, Tara (Maggie Siff) and Margaret (McNally Sagal) are being held captive by Salazar (Jose Pablo Cantillo) and he is looking for a number to contact a patch wearing member of SAMCRO so he can make his demands.  Salazar gets in touch with Piney (William Lucking) and he tells him about his prisoners and what he wants in return for their safe release.  Tig (Kim Coates), Piney and Kozik (Kenny Johnson) must work together to save Tara and Margaret and that involves some “spooky respect”. Tara is apologetic to Margret about their present situation and Margaret confides in her about her past love and the reason behind her ink and understanding.

SAMBEL joins SAMCRO in their search for truth about what went down and who is working with Jimmy O’.  Cherry (Taryn Manning) is questioned about her old man, Liam O’Neill (Arie Verveen) since he was around when the bombing occurred.  SAMCRO goes on a quest with McGee (Andy McPhee) to find O’Neill to talk to him about what went down while he was taking a “murderous shit” in the woods.  Jax (Charlie Hunnam) takes charge and wants answers about his son and proof about who is behind everything.  The boys lay on the charm and do what they do best and it gets pretty crazy.  Jax does show his soft side and I think what he does in the end speaks about who he is as a person.  Clay (Ron Perlman) takes things to a higher level and softly and sweetly releases forty years of greedy pain.

Gemma (Katey Sagal) is worried about Clay and she tries to console him and eloquently notes that “time don’t mean shit”.  Gemma talks to Maureen (Paula Malcomson) and their conversation leads to smokes and whisky and possibly the best line of the season “yeah, he is”.  Taken out of context the phrase “yeah, he is” doesn’t seem like much but trust me it’s a kicker!  Poor Tig isn’t even in Belfast but yet the insults are still being thrown his way.

Jax has another one on one discussion with Father Kellan about the day’s dealings and his father.  Jax just wants to know what has to be done to get Abel back in his arms.

What an incredible episode but really when has this show let you down.  Watch SONS OF ANARCHY Tuesday nights at 10 PM EST only on FX!
