SONS OF ANARCHY FX OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: FX's original series, Sons of Anarchy, is an adrenalized drama with darkly comedic undertones that explores a notorious outlaw motorcycle club's (MC) desire to protect its livelihood while ensuring that their simple, sheltered town of Charming, California remains exactly that, Charming. The MC must confront threats from drug dealers, corporate developers, and overzealous law officers. Behind the MC's familial lifestyle and legally thriving automotive shop is a ruthless and illegally thriving arms business. The seduction of money, power, and blood. Jackson ‘Jax' Teller (Charlie Hunnam) is the MC's vice-president who is tested by his growing apprehension for its lawlessness, Gemma Teller Morrow (Katey Sagal) is Jax's force-of-nature mother, and Clarence ‘Clay' Morrow (Ron Perlman) is Jax's stepfather and MC president. The triangle of Mother, Son, and Stepfather will ultimately reveal the dark secrets in this family's past and the lengths they will go to protect their sins. This season begins with SAMCRO feeling powerless over Abel's kidnapping, especially Jax, whose grief sends him into deeper turmoil over his future with the club. The search for Abel sends our guys to Ireland, where Jax faces not only the Irish Republican Army, but an untold personal history as well. Meanwhile, still on the lam, Gemma is hit with some unexpected news and risks her freedom to deal with it.

“Turas” SONS OF ANARCHY Season 3 Episode 9 Review, Airing 11/2/2010

SONS OF ANARCHY is anything but predictable and this week’s episode, “Turas” proves that point on several levels. Just when you think you know everything something else comes poking its head out of the sand. In “Turas” the club embarks on an unfamiliar protection run with Liam O’Neill and other club members. The story is by Kurt Sutter, teleplay is by Chris Collins and Brady Dahl and it is directed by Stephen Kay.

Jax (Charlie Hunnam) has many questions about what Father Kellan Ashby (James Cosmo) has asked him to do and the reasoning behind it. What is his true motive for wanting Jimmy O’ (Titus Welliver) out of the picture and what is he hiding from him? I certainly don’t trust Father Ashby especially after his chat with Jax in the church last week.

Jax consults his family and is confronted with the idea that “now is not the time for soul searching.” Jax and the club did not realize what an untamed mess they were walking into when they came to Belfast.

Back in Charming, Chief Wayne (Dayton Callie) checks in on Lumpy in the hospital and looks into who is responsible for his beating. The Chief has no idea how he can use or prove some of the information that he is being given. Agent Stahl (Ally Walker) gets back to Jax and is stirring up her own pot of trust issues with her girlfriend. Piney (William Lucking) is spending some time with Kozik (Kenny Johnson) and is counting on a certain thing going down. Tara is dealing with difficult issues and just can’t seem to have anytime to breathe without being confronted. Tara truly suffers physically and emotionally over her love for Jax. It is so heartbreaking to witness the struggles that have befallen her.

The club embarks on a protection run and they have been told that “Jimmy never misses a transport” so they are looking forward to their meeting. Liam O’Neill (Arie Verveen) shares too much information and will be questioned about his actions. Things turn explosive and loss will continue to plague the club. Jimmy O’ finally makes an appearance and it is “always a pleasure”.

Gemma (Katey Sagal) has her own chat with Father Ashby about what her son is caught up in and about John Teller. She lets her true feelings about all of the matters come to light.

“Turas” delivers what you have come to expect from SONS OF ANARCHY which is a nail-biting last moment as well as all the inside drama you can’t handle. This is truly one of those shows that you just want to watch until your head explodes. One of my favorite things about the Belfast episodes is being treated to all of the beautiful brogues. One thing I’m not enjoying is that sickness that I get when Jax hangs out with Trinity and looks at her “that way”. Oh man, I know it is just a countdown to when and not if on Jax hooking up with his sister. Please Kurt, do not let that happen unless I happen to be filling in for Trinity, in that case two thumbs up for pretend incest! Seriously, what do you think is going to happen between Jax and Trinity? One more point I have to bring up is that they officially have an app for every situation. Watch SONS ON ANARCHY Tuesday nights at 10 PM EST only on FX!
