BURN NOTICE starts up again and unleashes one of my favorite reunions of all time, yes everybody it’s CAGNEY and LACEY time! BURN NOTICE is always well written but the pairing of the two characters played by SHARON GLESS and TYNE DALY is done just so eloquently. So what has Michael Westen (JEFFREY DONOVAN) been up to since we last saw him besides eating yogurt? Helping people like only he and the crew can. His crew consists of the very lovable Sam Axe (BRUCE CAMPBELL), the endearing Fiona Glenanne (GABRIELLE ANWAR) and the warmhearted Madeline Westen (SHARON GLESS). Without them Michael would only be half a man, still a pretty good man but without that extra zing that spices up the stew.
Michael’s assistance is called upon to help a mother and child out and of course he is up for the challenge. This episode entitled, A DARK ROAD, is just full of action, sassy driving, fighting and enough high end mischief that would of made KEITH MOON blush. Sam, the charmer that he is, may have found his kryptonite. We learn a bit about special spy holidays, stitching and are reminded of what an exquisitely dressed man Michael Westen is. Madeline extends a cigarette laced hand to help a fellow out. Did I mention the CAGNEY and LACEY reunion? I also believe that Michael Westen channels ELVIS in this episode. Only Michael and Fiona could expose the sensual seduction of the spy world with their solder and transmitter talk. Delve into the spy world safely from you own couch and watch BURN NOTICE on Thursday night on USA NETWORK!
