I got the chance to interview the legendary Dave Pino, who holds the record for being in the most bands at the same time. At this moment, Dave is sharing his gift of music as the touring bass player of Seemless. You can see Seemless’ video featured on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball. Some additional bands that Dave has worked with are The Evacuation Plan, Waltham, Graveyard BBQ, No Allegiance, Damone, Robby Roadsteamer, Jetfuel, Burn Your Wishes and __________________(fill in the blank because he may have been in your band!) Do not think that Dave is just a bass player, he is know for his rambunctious guitar solos, song writing and he can play a mean cowbell.

LL: The first thing I have been dying to know is has Seemless vetoed your Mariah Carey shirt like all the bands that have come before them have?

DP: Oh, I've been scolded so many times before I knew better not to even ask but they let me wear my Rick Springfield half shirt for the last Fu Manchu show. That was nice. Well, they didn't actually let me, I just sort of did it. They were like "you are absolutely not wearing that on stage." but it was a gift of love from a very special girl. No one can stop me when it comes to love.

DP: It was great! Those guys are awesome dudes and playing bass was a lot of fun. The experience I had with Seemless was a dream come true.

LL: How many miles did you put on your Segway ridding to California or are you still in transit as we speak?

DP: Haha, I think I put an average of 10 miles a day on it, and yes, I'm on it right now, hence the response from the blackberry.

LL: What do you think about as you perform on stage besides that you should have worn a cup since your bass swinging doesn’t exactly work out as intended at times?

DP: Ha! First thing I think is, "am I on and in tune?" then I think " does it even matter?" then " all these girls must think I'm so ridiculously awesome" then " where's my chord? I'm gonna swing this bass"

DP: Right now I'm working on unlocking the secrets to the songwriting universe. I want 4 year old kids to be able to write hit songs. The world needs music from a 4 year olds perspective.

LL: Are you going to be offering a line of t-shirts with your face on it for the ladies because after all what girl doesn’t want some Pino on her chest?

LL: Is there something that you would love to tackle but have not done so, yet? I am not referring to Mariah Carey, either.

DP: Well, I like All 80's movies, shitty sci-fi, comedies, and anything with Chris Farly, but I don't have a favorite porn star anymore, I went to this website where girls fart in each others mouths and it ruined me for porn stars. I just can't picture them as the delicate flowers I once saw them as.

LL: How do you remain calm in every situation? There is a saying, “Be like Dave.”

DP: The trick is to have a very short list of things that bother you. I can also see the future. That helps.

In conclusion, I am left with nothing more than the affirmation that Dave Pino is THE man and every person, animal, extraterrestrial and so on that comes in contact with him will walk away ready to take over the world.
