I got a chance to speak with SHARON OSBOURNE via conference call and find out about her new show on FOX, OSBOURNES: RELOADED and was able to personally thank her for all the wonderful work that she does to promote colorectal cancer awareness and treatment, a subject that is near and dear to me. SHARON allowed the cameras to follow her through all of her cancer treatments on THE OSBOURNES back in 2002 and spoke very candidly about it and I credit her with helping to save lives. I know for a fact that SHARON and her family’s openness about cancer and addictions have helped so many people get their lives back. SHARON, OZZY, JACK and KELLY should be revered! Lena Lamoray: What was it like working with your family again?
Sharon Osbourne: It wasn’t what I expected, you know? It’s very weird because you can never go back in time, and I thought that it was just going to be a continuation of the way that it used to be. But absolutely, my kids are young adults. They’ve got their own opinion. Certain things, Ozzy and I would say, “Oh, yes,” and then, suddenly, there would be two voices behind going, “No, we don’t like that.” And it’s like, “Who are you?” so it wasn’t what we expected, you know? Because it had been so long since we’d all worked together that it was really very, very different this time. The nucleus was very different.
Lena Lamoray: Yes. I also wanted to commend you on your work you do to promote cancer awareness and treatment.
Sharon Osbourne: Oh, thank you very much.
Lena Lamoray: And you do such amazing work.
Sharon Osbourne: Thank you. Thank you. I appreciate that.
Lena Lamoray: Oh, you’re welcome. I know how difficult that must have been to go through the filming
when you did The Osbournes on your treatment, but I know a lot of people appreciate that, so thank you
again.
