Auditions Begin Wednesday, September 22

In celebration of the series’ momentous 10^th anniversary and in an effort to give tens of thousands of hopefuls the opportunity to audition, AMERICAN IDOL will host auditions in Los Angeles beginning Wednesday, Sept. 22.

The 10^th season of AMERICAN IDOL premieres January 2011 on FOX.

“This summer we have had an exceptional turnout – both in the number of people auditioning and the level of their talent,” said IDOL executive producer Ken Warwick. “Los Angeles has always delivered great talent, and so we feel it only fitting that we end our 10^th season audition tour here in our home city.”

As previously announced, AMERICAN IDOL has also expanded the eligibility age range for the first time ever to include hopefuls from 15 to 28 years old.

HOW:              Wristbands will be distributed from approximately 7:00 AM on Tuesday, Sept. 21 until approximately 8:00 AM on Wednesday, Sept. 22. Auditioners will not be permitted to camp out. Once auditioners obtain their wristbands, they will be asked to return to The Forum by 5:00 AM on Wednesday, Sept 22.

            (August 18, 2010 – New York, NY)  Grammy nominated multi-platinum Def Jam rapper Fabolous takes it to the streets as he hooks up with DJ Drama and LiveMixtapes.com for the release of THERE IS NO COMPETITION 2: THE GRIEVING MUSIC MIXTAPE, set for August 31^st release on Def Jam.  The Mixtape sets the stage for the December release of the full-length album Loso’s Way 2, the follow-up to Loso’s Way, the first #1 Soundscan debut of his career, which entered the Billboard 200 albums chart at #1 in August 2009.

            TINC2: THE GRIEVING MUSIC MIXTAPE – a collector’s item for Loso’s fans – is the officially released expanded version of TINC2: THE FUNERAL SERVICE, which won critical acclaim as the #1 most-downloaded mixtape of 2010.  The Mixtape adds three new bonus tracks, “Body Count,” “You Be Killin Em,” and “Lights Out,” the new single and video by ‘Funeral Fab.’  Writing in the New York Times, Jon Caramanica described the original mixtape as “[an] impressive… concept record” earlier this year.

            Following its premiere in March, the first video, “Mr. R.I.P.” – filmed at the biggest cemetery in New York City – received over 1.6 million views in its first 24 hours of release, and was praised by GQ, who described Funeral Fab as “dressed to kill.”  In the second video “Body Ya,” he has been diagnosed with a severe case of body ya, a disease that only the most stylish and fly can obtain.  Under strict quarantine by his physician, he is warned to not leave his apartment, but he disregards the advice and heads out into the world.  Anyone and everyone who looks at Funeral Fab passes out due to his incomparable style.  “I’m Raw,” the third video is street smart and lyrically savvy with one objective – to let the haters know that he is on top of the game and he is raw.  The fourth and fifth videos, “Tonight X Love Come Down” take place in a high society nightclub rampant with champagne bottles, models and strippers.

            Loso’s Way, the fifth studio album by Fabolous provided an intimate glimpse into the rise of the Brooklyn-born rapper, exploring the perils that came with managing the transition from Bed-Stuy street life to one of legitimacy.  Loso’s Way also encompassed his first long-form video project, a 30-minute DVD counterpart that was packaged as a bonus disc in the first run limited-edition deluxe versions of the album.  The first single, “Throw It In The Bag” featuring fellow Def Jam artist The-Dream (and produced by Tricky Stewart) rose in Billboard to #2 Rap, #4 R&B, and #14 on the Hot 100.

Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz and former KsE vocalist Jesse Leach are re-teaming for Times of Grace , a brand new band that finds the duo taking a creative left turn, boldly exploring new musical terrain, while fearlessly digging deep into the recesses of their musical synergy. It has yielded a provocative, heavy-yet-melodic result, one that helped each of them overcome personal struggles and emerge from the darkness, more empowered than ever.

The pair’s collaborative energy and chemistry obviously yields quality, long-lasting results, as they worked together on KsE’s benchmark album, 2002’s Alive or Just Breathing. That record has become definitive for an entire generation of American metal, with Leach’s voice and uplifting lyrics serving as one of the key elements that propelled the album to “modern classic” status. Leach, who went on to sing for the more classic-rock leaning Seemless and who currently sings for the metal band The Empire Shall Fall, was always remembered fondly by KsE fans, even though he left the band shortly after Alive or Just Breathing’s release.

While fans will no doubt be thrilled at the concept of the duo reuniting, Times of Grace, however, are not interested in fashioning Alive or Just Breathing, Part II. It’s an entirely new project and represents a different musical path for both Adam D. and Leach! It is an album of cleansing and catharsis for each of them, where internal demons were exorcised and set to music that’s as aggressive as it is melodic. The pair are currently in the studio working on their debut, The Hymn of A Broken Man, which is due out November 9 through Roadrunner Records.

“In all my life. I have yet to write a record that bares my soul as much as this record does,” Leach said. “Adam and I had a real spiritual connection while making this and I know that it comes through in the performances and lyrics. This record has our blood, sweat and tears flowing through it. It is painfully honest at times. In short this record is our catharsis.”

Adam D. also commented on what Times of Grace means for him personally, saying, “Making this record was something completely new for me. It documents some of the most difficult, yet spirited times of my life in the past three-and-a-half years. A lot of the music and lyrics just came out of me while going through several internal struggles, and writing these songs were the only comfort I could find. I reached out to Jesse to help sing and write these songs with me because of my respect for his musical abilities, and because of our great friendship…one that seems to not change no matter what happens in our lives.

“In the end, I am very proud of this record, and I feel it has helped me through some of my darkest days. I’m hoping that people will enjoy it, and also that it can maybe help others to keep the most positive mindset, even through the most trying of times.”

The album begins with the percussive, almost militaristic “Strength in Numbers,” which pairs layered vocal melodies with thunderously roaring drumbeats; “Fight For Life” bites with ferocity, but is balanced out by Leach’s emotive vocals; while “Willing” boasts a more contemplative yet just as feral vibe. Times of Grace aren’t going back over ground that its members have already covered; they’re moving forward, incorporating stunning, eye-arresting visuals alongside their music, which features rich layers of instrumentation that invite the listener to sift through.

Winner To Be Recognized As Gatorade Athlete

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Tour 2010 Kicks Off September 19 in New Orleans

The seventh season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE came to a spectacular conclusion tonight as Lauren Froderman, 18, a Contemporary Jazz dancer from Phoenix, AZ, was named America’s Favorite Dancer and danced off with the cash prize of $250,000. She will be featured on the cover of Dance Spirit magazine, and will be the first-ever dancer featured as an athlete in Gatorade print ads in select publications and online at www.gatorade.com.

Fellow finalists – Kent Boyd and Robert Roldan – were eliminated as host Cat Deeley revealed the voting results. Froderman had this to say about winning SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: “I cannot even believe how amazing this journey has been! I feel so blessed, and am so grateful to my family, friends and fans. Thank you for believing in me and naming me America’s Favorite Dancer. This is truly a dream come true. Thank you, America, it was an honor dancing for you!”

In addition to naming America’s Favorite Dancer, the Season Seven finale of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE featured performances by this season’s Top 11 dancers. The celebration also showcased the judges’ favorite routines from the season – including a very special dance number by tWitch Boss and Ellen DeGeneres – as well as performances by Russell Ferguson and Lil C; indie rock duo Black Gold; dance sensations Quest Crew; 7-year-old tap dancer Luke Sterling; Charlie Bruce, the winner of the U.K. version of “So You Think You Can Dance”; and tap-dancing siblings the Manzari Brothers.

Competition Continues Next Week with a Two-Hour Episode on a New Night Wednesday, August 18, on FOX

After scouring the nation for the best amateur cooks in America, the judges of MASTERCHEF have chosen the 14 hopefuls who will compete for the title of America’s first-ever MASTERCHEF. The Top 14 are Sheetal Bhagat, Tony Carbone, Jake Gandolfo, Sharone Hakman, Jenna Hamiter, Kim Dung “Slim” Huynh, Faruq Jenkins, Mike Kim, Lee Knaz, David Miller, Whitney Miller, Tracy Nailor, Avis White and Sheena Zadeh.

The competition heats up next when the MASTERCHEF Top 14 enter the kitchen on a new night and time beginning Wednesday, Aug. 18 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Throughout the season, the home cooks will undergo a series of high-pressure individual and team challenges from creating incredible gourmet dishes using mystery ingredients and identifying components in a complex dish to providing an all-American send-off meal for hundreds of U.S. Marines and catering a high-end wedding. The MASTERCHEF judges – Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot – are looking for the contestant who possesses a refined palate as well as the right blend of skill, passion and creativity.

Below are the Top 14 home cooks on MASTERCHEF:

Cooking inspiration: My mom had the biggest influence on me. Everything she made used fresh ingredients; there was nothing canned or processed. I have carried her philosophy of healthy eating using only pure fresh ingredients into my cooking today.

Cooking inspiration: My mother and grandmother. They spoiled me with great food growing up, so I knew that when I got older if I wanted to keep eating as good as I did growing up, then I’d need to learn to cook like them.

Cooking inspiration: My mother and Julia Child. Some of my earliest memories are of standing on a stool and canning vegetables from the family garden with my mom while watching “The French Chef” on television.

Cooking inspiration: I’d have to say I inspired myself. When I was a kid, my mother was not part of our lives, and my dad was always working to support us. When my grandma wasn’t around, I had to go into our fridge and make something out of nothing. I taught myself how to create dishes at a very young age. This “survival” mode was how I started out, but cooking then became a creative outlet that I haven’t been able to stop since. 

Cooking inspiration: My 85-year-old grandmother, who is a successful homemaker with nine children and 25 grandchildren. She’s has always been the gracious hostess, turning out spectacular desserts and parties for decades. I am thankful and privileged to still enjoy moments with her in the kitchen. 

Cooking inspiration: My mom. As a child, I spent a lot of time in the kitchen trying to see over the stove to find out what she was cooking. 

Cooking inspiration: My mother and grandmother. My fondest memories of the holidays are staying up late and waking up early to help cook. The time I was able to spend with them in the kitchen was priceless. 

Cooking inspiration: While my parents were instrumental in inspiring me to cook, fishing also played an important role. I started deep-sea fishing when I moved to California, and as I encountered a plethora of the freshest fish imaginable – from Yellowtail to Pacific Sheepshead and more – my understanding, passion and inspiration for cooking reached a whole new level.  

Cooking inspiration: I grew up in a family of non-cooks, but growing up in Israel I would watch hours of cooking shows. My first memories are of satellite-broadcasted French channels that would air cooking shows with Joël Robuchon and Jacques Pépin. I didn’t understand a word they were saying, but I was completely fascinated by them. 

Cooking inspiration: My mother. I always loved helping her in the kitchen – whether it was doing prep work, making gravy or doing dishes. As a teenager, I was vegetarian, and my mom accommodated that – she loves making people happy through food.

Cooking inspiration: My great-grandmother. My family would eat lunch at her house every Sunday when I was younger. I spent hours watching her make homemade biscuits, seafood gumbo, lemon meringue pies and countless other Southern favorites. 

Cooking inspiration: My mother is the person who taught me the fundamentals of cooking. When I create a dish or prepare a family favorite, I am carrying on her legacy and honoring her memory by doing something she loved. I am grateful we were able to share that time.

Cooking Inspiration: My grandmother always instilled in me the importance of family. She also felt it was important that I knew how to cook, clean, pay bills, and take care of myself at a young age. The one thing she wanted me to be really good at was cooking and baking, so she spent countless hours teaching me how to do just that. I am so grateful for those life lessons because it has made me the great cook that I am.

Cooking Inspiration: My first urge to cook came from watching cooking shows on television, but I was truly inspired to cook when I saw the smile on my dad’s face the first time I put dinner on the table for my family.

FOX MAKES GAINS AND CLAIMS SUMMER’S TOP SPOT

Despite ABC’s strong summer fueled by NBA basketball, FOX has successfully closed the gap to tie as the No. 1 broadcast network of the summer season. With gains by LIE TO ME and THE GOOD GUYS, another strong serving of MASTERCHEF, and a sizzling SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Top 4 performance show, FOX placed a very close second among Adults 18-49 last week and won the week among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

On Monday FOX’s LIE TO ME and GOOD GUYS combo made significant gains across multiple demos:

• At 8p, LIE TO ME posted a 1.9/6 among Adults 18-49, up +19% from the previous week (1.6/5) to rank No. 2 in the hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens (tie) and No. 1 in Men 18-49/18-34. 
• So far this summer, LIE TO ME has lifted FOX’s performance in the time period last summer, by +20% among Adults 18-49 and +26% in Total Viewers.
• THE GOOD GUYS followed at 9p and posted a 1.1/3 among Adults 18-49, up +10% from the previous week among Adults 18-49, +25% among Adults 18-34 and +3% in Total Viewers.

FOX turned up the heat in the kitchen on Tuesday, winning the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and all key male and female demos. 

• HELL’S KITCHEN delivered a 3.2/11 among Adults 18-49 (up +10%), tying its highest 8p rating of the summer in the demo and posting its highest of the summer in Total Viewers in the 8p time slot. 
• HELL’S KITCHEN topped the night as the highest rated program among Adults 18-49, outperforming ABC’s Wipeout and NBC’s America’s Got Talent. 
• Week two of MASTERCHEF delivered a 2.6/8 among Adults 18-49, down just one-tenth from the previous week’s premiere. 
• MASTERCHEF beat NBC’s America’s Got Talent in head to head competition in the 9p hour by +10% among Adults 18-34 (2.3/8 vs. 2.1/7).
• Overall, FOX outperformed its nearest competitor for the night, NBC, by a substantial +32% among Adults 18-49 and +63% among Adults 18-34.

On Wednesday, the Top 4 performed on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and posted a 2.1/7 for the night among Adults 18-49, up +5% in the adult demo and +13% in Total Viewers from the previous week.

• SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-34 (tied with Big Brother).
• FOX’s SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE ranked No. 2 for the night on a total primetime basis among Adults 18-49 and won the night among Adults 18-34, Teens, all key female demos and Men 18-34.

FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and all key male and female demos.  HELL’S KITCHEN was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49, outperforming ABC’s Wipeout and premiere of Shaq Vs. and NBC’s America’s Got Talent.  HELL’S KITCHEN was also the highest rated program among Adults 18-34 followed by week two of MASTERCHEF.

FOX outperformed its nearest competitor for the night, NBC, by a substantial +32% among Adults 18-49 (2.9/9 vs. 2.2/7) and outperformed NBC by +63% among Adults 18-34 (2.6/6 vs. 1.6/6). 

At 8p HELL’S KITCHEN posted a 3.2/11 among Adults 18-49, tying its highest rating of the summer at 8pm in the demo (tied with week two, 6/8/10) while it posted its highest of the summer at 8pm in Total Viewers (7.1 Mil.). 

HELL’S KITCHEN was up +10% versus the previous week among Adults 18-49 (2.9/10) and up +11% in Total Viewers (7.1 vs. 6.4 Mil.)   

HELL’S KITCHEN won the 8p hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34/25-54 and all key male and female demos.
Week two of MASTERCHEF delivered a 2.6/8 among Adults 18-49, down just one-tenth from the previous week’s premiere. 

MASTERCHEF beat NBC’s America’s Got Talent in head to head competition in the 9p hour by +10% among Adults 18-34 (2.3/8 vs. 2.1/7).

MASTERCHEF won the 9p hour among Adults 18-34 and was #2 among Adults 18-49.

Davey Sutton
DJ Qualls continues to build an interesting career for himself in a myriad of film and television roles.  His credits include the critically acclaimed Hustle & Flow and the independent films Little Athens and I’m Reed Fish.  He has also starred in Road Trip, The Core, The New Guy, Lone Star State of Mind, Chasing Holden, All About Steve, Delta Farce, Big Trouble, Cherry Falls and Mama’s Flora’s Family.  In addition, Qualls co-produced and starred in the Lionsgate film Comic Book Villains, a dark comedy about the comic book industry and rival comic book stores

Qualls’ television credits include My Name is Earl, Criminal Minds, Lost, Monk, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Scrubs.

Qualls grew up in a small town in middle Tennessee and is one of five children. After studying at the University of London, he returned to Tennessee and began a series of odd jobs before performing in local theatre and later being discovered by photographers David Chappelle and Steven Kline.  This led to a lucrative career modeling for Prada, as well as many other advertising/editorial campaigns.

Qualls splits his time between Los Angeles and Tennessee. He is proud to be a cancer survivor and an advocate for cancer awareness and research.

After last week’s dramatic judges’ save, two finalists – Billy Bell and Jose Ruiz – were eliminated tonight on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, revealing this season’s Top 4: Kent Boyd, Lauren Froderman, Robert Roldan and AdéChiké Torbert.

Eliminated tonight were Bell, 20, a Contemporary dancer from Palm Beach, FL; and Ruiz, 21, a B-Boy dancer from Miami, FL.

This week’s results show also featured special performances by Motown recording artist Christian TV and dancers from the film “Step Up 3-D.”

With less than two weeks to go until the final showdown, the competition gets even hotter when the Top 4 take the stage Wednesday, Aug. 4 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on the penultimate performance show in hopes of making it to the finale and earning the title of America’s Favorite Dancer and $250,000.

Series Premieres Tuesday, September 21, on FOX

Robert Michael Morris and Mel Rodriguez have joined the cast of the new FOX comedy series RUNNING WILDE. Additionally, David Cross will reunite with “Arrested Development” co-star Will Arnett and executive producers Mitch Hurwitz and Jim Vallely for a recurring role.

RUNNING WILDE premieres Tuesday, Sept. 21 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Morris will portray MR. LUNT, STEVEN WILDE’s (Arnett) fiercely protective former “manny”-turned-secretary, and Rodriguez will play MIGO, Steve’s driver and life-long friend who is not above taking advantage of his employer’s fiscal irresponsibility. Cross will recur as ANDY, an “eco-terrorist” who has been living in the Amazon rainforest with his girlfriend, EMMY KADUBIC (Keri Russell), and will serve as a romantic foil to Emmy’s first love: Steve. Cross is set to appear in seven of the first 13 episodes of the season.

Robert Michael Morris’ breakthrough role was as flamboyant hair stylist “Mickey Deane” opposite Lisa Kudrow in the critically acclaimed cable series “The Comeback.” His additional television credits include “Brothers & Sisters,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “The Class,” “Arrested Development” and “Will & Grace.”

Mel Rodriguez’s television work includes recurring roles on “Big Love,” “FlashForward,” “The Middle” and “George Lopez.” His film credits include “Little Miss Sunshine” and “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.” Rodriguez recently guest-starred on the cable comedy series “Workaholics.”

David Cross is best known for his portrayal of “Tobias Fünke” on the Emmy Award-winning “Arrested Development.” This fall brings the premiere of his original comedy series, “The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.” The show follows the awkward misadventures of an American office temp and convenient liar named Todd Margaret, who bluffs his way into a senior sales position heading up the London office for a new energy drink. Cross created the show and serves as writer, producer and star – multiple positions he also filled on his previous original program – the animated series, “Freak Show.” He won an Emmy for his work as a writer on “The Ben Stiller Show,” and earned three additional Emmy nominations for the cult-favorite series “Mr. Show with Bob and David,” which he co-created and wrote with Bob Odenkirk. His film credits include “Men in Black,” “Men in Black II,” “Waiting for Guffman,” “Ghost World,” “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” “School for Scoundrels,” “I’m Not There” and “Year One.”  Cross is also an author whose first book, entitled “I Drink for a Reason,” spent multiple weeks on The New York Times Bestseller List.

RUNNING WILDE is the new romantic comedy series centering on a spoiled, filthy rich playboy who desperately tries to win the heart of his humanitarian childhood sweetheart by helping raise her 12-year-old daughter. The series stars Will Arnett, Keri Russell, Stefania Owen, Peter Serafinowicz, Robert Michael Morris and Mel Rodriguez.

Ellen DeGeneres has decided to bow out from her role as a judge on AMERICAN IDOL next season.  DeGeneres served as a judge during the ninth season of IDOL, the No. 1 hit series on television.

“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the AMERICAN IDOL producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” said DeGeneres. “I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next.  It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for.   I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on IDOL and I am very grateful for the year I had.  I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

“We love Ellen and understand and support her decision to bow out of IDOL,” said Peter Rice, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Networks Group.  “We were fortunate to receive the humor, energy and love for talent that she brought to the show.”

TOKYO’S HOTTEST ROCK ‘N’ ROLL EXPORT TOTOUR NORTH AMERICA BEGINNING AUGUST 3

 Los Angeles, CA: Japan’s unstoppable D’espairsray, easily one of the hottest rock ‘n’ roll exports to come barreling out of the Far East in recent memory, are gearing up for a flurry of activity in the United States and beyond, as the band looks to further conquer the international marketplace. Domination, anyone? That’s at the top of  D’espairsray’s list as they are looking to take over one city, one state, one territory, one country at a time.  And they can’t be stopped.

D’espairsray – vocalist Hizumi, guitarist Karyu, bassist Zero and drummer Tsukasa— will release their fourth studio album, Monsters, via digital platforms only on Tuesday, July 27 through Delicious Deli, an imprint of Universal Music. The band, which formed in 1999 and has impressively maintained a constant, single lineup since its inception, has been forging a path for itself in the past decade-plus of its existence.

“Garnet,” D’espairsray’s 2003 maxi-single, landed atop the Japanese Indie Chart, and by 2006 they had travelled to and played in nine countries, among them Germany, France, England, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland and the U.S., slowly but surely turning heads, making fans and planting seeds along the way.

D’espairsray also enjoyed a slot at the 2006 edition of the famed, annual Wacken Open Air Festival; they were the only Japanese band to grace the stage. The band also scored a plum gig at the 2008 “Taste of Chaos” tour, the lineup of which is a veritable “Who’s Who” of modern hard rock, performing in 34 U.S. cities exposing American kids to their thrilling style of Japanese metal with melodic tendencies.

Monsters, which was co-produced by D’espairsray, truly crosses genre-boundaries, the language barrier and cultural touchstones, since it blends stadium-ready hard rock hooks tinged with a razor-sharp industrial edge and threaded with new wave nuances! Monsters follows up the band’s 2009 release, the critically lauded Redeemer.

Monsters is rife with thunderous percussion, crunchy guitars and ultra catchy choruses, which D’espairsray fuses into one seamless, combustible cocktail, with lyrics sung in a mix of the band’s native Japanese spliced with English. The lyrics have a bit of an apocalyptic bend, referencing the selling of one’s soul, of fighting back against those who attempt to oppress you and erasing the system, all sent to chunky guitars! The result is a truly unique album that pledges allegiance to no single style of hard rock and one that follows its own rules, making Monsters an utterly refreshing listen from start to finish.

Any of the album’s 10 tracks could be a single, and the band appeals to fans of modern industrial and electronic-influenced artists like Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails and Fear Factory.  Rare is the band that can cross-pollinate so many genres without sounding like a complete mess, and D’espairsray are that band! “Death Point” will rock the listener to his or her core with its roaring boom, while “Love is Dead” is erected on a pulsing synth that’ll stick in your brain for days. “Thirteen” boasts a staccato riff and fist-pumping chant that’ll remind rivetheads why they were drawn to the industrial genre in the first place. No single mood dominates Monsters¸ making it a complete package of sounds and moods that never becomes predictable.

D’espairsray will be bringing their visas and passports for a US trek, the “Human-Clad Monsters” World Tour, which makes it way to North American shores on August 3^rd, beginning in Los Angeles and ending in Houston on August 17^th, making stops in Chicago, New York City and Atlanta along the way. The tour hits all major markets, which should assist in creating a even more of prominent profile for D’espairsray in the US market. Catch them while you can, for a little taste of Japanese cultural flair; it’s like D’espairsray brings the bright lights of Tokyo with them, dimming them just the right amount in order to match their chunky, visceral brand of hard rock.

 Inaugural Event to Include Flash Mobs on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. and at the Performance Arts Center in Los Angeles; Other Events to Take Place Nationwide

National Dance Day, a grassroots movement taking place on Saturday, July 31 that encourages the people of this nation to get up and move, is being recognized with an official act of Congress. Created by Nigel Lythgoe, executive producer and co-creator of the hit FOX series SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and founder of the Dizzy Feet Foundation, the aim of National Dance Day is to promote health and self-esteem through the art form of dance.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE airs Wednesdays (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) and Thursdays (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), a long-time proponent of healthy lifestyles, will introduce a National Dance Day resolution at a press conference on Saturday, July 31 in Washington, D.C., to promote dance education and physical fitness across the U.S.

In January, Congresswoman Norton introduced the Lifelong Improvements in Food and Exercise (LIFE) Act to promote exercise and diet changes. Norton’s LIFE bill directs the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to be a lead agency in combating obesity and sedentary lifestyles.

“More than 30 percent of Americans are obese, and childhood obesity has tripled in the past 30 years,” said Norton. “Television shows such as SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE are not only entertaining but are also encouraging people to live a physically active lifestyle. Holding a National Dance Day in the nation’s capital is a terrific way to promote fitness and fight obesity.”

Additionally, Congresswoman Norton will host her own National Dance Day flash mob on the National Mall (between 3^rd St & 4^th St SW) from 1:00-5:00 PM featuring local dance enthusiasts, representatives from dance schools and organizations and former SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE finalists.

“National Dance Day does not ‘belong’ to any single corporation, television show or charity,” said Lythgoe. “It belongs to the people. It will be up to the individuals, corporations and charities of this country to come up with ways to take part – wherever they may be and whatever their motivation: whether it’s to lose weight, raise money for a nonprofit or just have fun. It is my hope that countless exciting dance ideas will come to fruition on National Dance Day, like the world’s longest conga line in Miami or the world’s longest kick line in front of Radio City Music Hall or scores of breakdancers taking over the Venice boardwalk. The sky is the limit.”

The Dizzy Feet Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization co-founded in 2009 by Lythgoe, fellow SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE judge and film director/producer Adam Shankman, “Dancing With The Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba and actress Katie Holmes, whose mission is to elevate and standardize the quality of dance education throughout the U.S. The foundation’s contribution to the day is a viral video that includes instructional choreography by Emmy-nominated SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon Dumo. During August Festival that Features a Different Cinema Legend Each Day

Turner Classic Movies’ (TCM) has commissioned Michael Schwab, one of America’s most recognized graphic artists, to create a series of limited-edition collectible trading cards designed to commemorate the 2010 edition of the annual SUMMER UNDER THE STARS on-air festival in August.  The 31 exclusive card designs – one representing each star featured during the month-long programming event – will be showcased online starting August 1 at http://tcm.com/summer, the extensive online destination for SUMMER UNDER THE STARS.  In addition, TCM will be giving away 500 complete printed sets of the collectible trading cards through an online sweepstakes.

The Schwab card designs will serve as the primary graphic imagery on the SUMMER UNDER THE STARS website.  The cards feature Schwab’s signature technique of clean lines and bold colors, with the central figures shown in silhouette.  Among the films and actors to be featured in the card set are Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca (1942), Steve McQueen in Bullitt (1968), Elizabeth Taylor in Butterfield 8 (1960), Woody Strode in Sergeant Rutledge (1960), Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke (1967), Lee Remick in A Face in the Crowd (1957) and Clint Eastwood in Hang ‘Em High (1968).  Clicking on one of the cards will lead to a full view of the schedule for that card’s star, in-depth background, video clips and photos.

TCM is printing a limited number of collectible trading card sets to be given away to fans through an online sweepstakes.  The back of each printed card includes a quote from the movie and character featured, as well as a list of the star’s other films being shown.  Fans can enter for a chance to win a set of cards through http://tcm.com/summer.  Two sweepstakes drawings will be held, with 250 winners chosen in the middle of the month and another 250 chosen at the end of the month.

TCM’s trading card initiative follows on the heels of the network’s highly successful movie poster campaign last August, when the SUMMER UNDER THE STARS site featured re-imagined “summer blockbuster” movie posters touting classic titles like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931), North by Northwest (1959) and The Magnificent Seven (1960).

“Like last year’s contemporary take on movie-posters, this year’s SUMMER UNDER THE STARS collectible card approach is a fun and fresh way to present iconic images from classic films,” said Richard Steiner, vice president of new media and TCM digital.  “These innovative designs by Michael Schwab capture the essence of each of our spotlighted stars with a simple and beautiful graphic image.  We’ve admired Michael’s career over many years and felt he was a perfect fit for TCM.  There is as much mystery as there is elegance in each of these images, like so many of the great performances of these timeless stars.”

“I am excited and very proud to be part of TCM’s Summer Under the Stars festival,” said Schwab.  “Creating each portrait has been an adventure.  At times, it felt as if some of these actors were here with me in the studio urging me on.”

Tonight was another dramatic results show on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE as the judges decided not to eliminate any of the bottom three dancers: Billy Bell, Robert Roldan and Jose Ruiz. Judge Nigel Lythgoe then announced that two contestants will be eliminated next week.

This week’s results show also featured performances by Latin music superstars Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull, members of the American Ballet Theatre and two SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE All-Stars.

The competition continues next week when the Top 6 (Billy Bell, Kent Boyd, Lauren Froderman, Robert Roldan, Jose Ruiz and AdéChiké Torbert) take the stage once again and dance three routines – one with an All-Star partner, one with a fellow contestant and a solo – on a two-hour live performance show airing Wednesday, July 28 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

Tune in the following night, Thursday, July 29 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), to find out which two dancers will be sent home and to see performances by Motown recording artist Christian TV and dancers from the film “Step Up 3D.”

New York, NY: As part of the ongoing celebration of their 20^th anniversary, Sweden’s OPETH is releasing live footage and audio from the band’s recent performance at London’s famed Royal Albert Hall.  In Live Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, due out 9/21/10, is a fierce testament to Opeth’s continued success in the progressive metal community. 

Twenty years and nine records into their legendary career, Opeth’s “progressively creative spirit” (ARTISTdirect) remains unwavering, propelling the band through the “Evolution XX: An Opeth Anthology” tour, which brought the Swedish titans to six of the world’s most unique venues, and now, with the release of In Live Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, into the homes of their fans. 

The performance at the Royal Albert Hall (recorded on the 5^th of April, 2010) includes two sets, the first consisting of the band performing 2000’s now-classic, breakthrough epic, Blackwater Park in its entirety, and the second, a chronologically arranged selection of material from the rest of Opeth’s extensive catalogue, totaling almost three hours of music.  It is, like the rest of Opeth’s greatest work, “purposefully warped in all the right places” (Decibel). The front cover artwork concept pays tribute to Deep Purple´s Concerto for Group and Orchestra, underlining the band’s longstanding love for their prog-rock roots. 

Thinking back to the concert, frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt says “Opeth had a magical night playing the Royal Albert Hall. It was a dream come true, and now afterwards, it still feels like a dream.  We got it all on film, and this, our third live recording and DVD might be my personal favorite. One couldn’t help to think of all the fantastic artists that played there over the years.  Looking back at this night of celebration brings me fond memories of our 20^th anniversary—this package is the delayed birthday present.  Enjoy!”

Miami-born Jason Derulo has ruled the airwaves this year with three hit singles – “Whatcha Say,” “In My Head” and “Ridin’ Solo” – from his self-titled debut album. Known as the charismatic frontman of alternative hip-hop band Gym Class Heroes, Travie McCoy recently released his debut solo album, “Lazarus.” The album’s first single, “Billionaire” (feat. Bruno Mars), was named one of the Summer’s Biggest Songs by Entertainment Weekly, has already earned RIAA-certified platinum status for sales exceeding 1 million units and was nominated for a TEEN CHOICE Award. McCoy first rose to stardom in 2006 as part of Gym Class Heroes, whose RIAA-certified gold album, “As Cruel As School Children,” featured the No. 1 hit, “Cupid’s Chokehold/Breakfast In America.” In 2007, the band was awarded Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards and Choice Breakout Group at the TEEN CHOICE Awards. TNT’s Undercover Cop Drama DARK BLUE,

Returns for Second Action-Packed Season Aug. 4

In the world of law enforcement, being an undercover cop is among the most dangerous jobs.  It also happens to be a huge adrenaline rush, as shown by the elite team of detectives in TNT’s action-packed series DARK BLUE.  Golden Globe^Ò winner Dylan McDermott (The Practice) stars in this drama series from executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer, which returns for its second season with back-to-back episodes Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) joins the cast of the series, which also stars Omari Hardwick (TNT’s Saved), Logan Marshall-Green (The O.C.) and Nicki Aycox (Supernatural).

DARK BLUE follows the lives of an undercover team of Los Angeles police officers so covert, many of their own colleagues don’t even know they are involved.  The team is supervised by Lieutenant Carter Shaw (McDermott), who frequently butts heads with his superiors over the risks the team is prepared to take to bring down a target.  This summer, Carter will be forced to take orders from FBI Agent Alex Rice (Helfer) as they work together on a special joint task force.  Alex’s arrival will also set the stage for a major change in Carter’s personal life.

The undercover team includes Ty Curtis (Hardwick), whose job is forming a wedge between he and his wife; Dean Bendis (Marshall-Green), a shoot-from-the-hip officer who won’t hesitate to follow his own initiative if he doesn’t agree with an assignment; and Jaimie Allen (Aycox), a former patrol cop whose success in covering up her shady past is the main reason Carter originally chose her for his team.

Together, these undercover cops look to catch Los Angeles’ most notorious criminals, no matter what it takes. They understand, better than anyone, that to bring down a criminal underworld, one must first dive into its depths and get on the criminals’ level.  To do that, they socialize with seedy characters and spend much of their time pretending to be someone else, a task made all the more difficult when personal relationships develop both on and off the job.  These undercover officers are frequently faced with circumstances that strain the line between right and wrong.  When that happens, what matters is loyalty to fellow officers and the goal of finding the bad guys.

New York, NY: After a very successful Spring tour, iconic ‘80’s hard rockers Ratt are excited to continue their “World Infestation” with Germany’s Scorpions. 

Due to emergency surgery, vocalist Stephen Pearcy was recently forced to cancel a string of European dates; however, the Ratt family is happy to report he has made a full recovery and is eager to get back on the road.

“Despite the forced break with my surgery, I’m feeling better and being out here on tour with the Scorpions is rehabilitating, to say the least,” Pearcy said. “We’re doing different songs from Infestation and they are going over great!  We’re mixing up our set and kicking some ass. It’s a Scorpion sting with some Ratt ‘n’ Roll!

The upcoming tour supports April’s Infestation, which “plugs directly into the sound and spirit of their glory days” (Revolver).  The record is an aural assault armed with “killer tones and great technique” (Guitar Player).  Infestation debuted at #30 on the US Billboard Top 200 chart and #4 on the Top Hard Music chart. It is being hailed by many as one of the best albums of the band’s storied career. INTERNATIONAL NUMBERS TOP LAST RELEASE STATS

New York, NY: Korn’s ninth studio album, Korn III: Remember Who You Are, which Spin described as “packing pain by the pound,” debuted today at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 sales charts. The album sold 63,000 copies. The album also debuted at #1 on the Hard Music Chart, both top and current, and is #1 on the Current Alternative Chart, as well. Korn III is the band’s seventh album to land in the Top 5.

Internationally, Korn III debuted Top 5 in Austria, Canada, Japan, Germany and New Zealand, Top 10 in Australia, Mexico and Switzerland and Top 20 in France, Denmark and Holland, with several countries yet to report. In almost every International market, these chart positions have exceeded the chart debuts from their previous albums.

After more than two years of road work in support of their major label album debut on Island Records in 2008 – Ludo returns to the racks with their long-awaited new album, PREPARE THE PREPARATIONS, arriving September 7^th.  Paving the way for their new album’s release is “Whipped Cream,” a new single breaking at rock radio formats, with a viral video that was featured on the front page of Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die comedy website: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/b456441be0/whipped-cream.

            With all the elements in place, Ludo will return to the road with a mammoth 29-city headlining U.S. tour, kicking off September 9^th at the Metro in Chicago, concluding five weeks later on October 15^th at the Eagles Club (The Rave) in Milwaukee.  In advance of the big tour, Ludo will play the biannual Pointfest in their hometown of St. Louis on August 14^th (with Stone Sour, Puddle of Mudd, Flyleaf), sponsored by alternative radio powerhouse KPNT 105.7, The Point.

            Ludo – Andrew Volpe (vocals, guitar), Tim Ferrell (guitar, vocals), Tim Convy (Moog synthesizer, key­boards, vocals), and Matt Palermo (drums, vocals) – won Best Alternative top honors at Clear Channel’s Best of NEW! 2008 Awards for “Love Me Dead,” the first Top 10 hit from their Island debut, You’re Awful, I Love You (released February 2008).

            They performed “Love Me Dead” on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, then hopped onto the Warped Tour ’08 for 22 shows across North America, playing on the Hurley stage.  Relient K’s Uncle Fest Tour followed in the fall (with This Providence and House of Heroes).  Ludo wrapped up their premiere first year at Island Records with “Go-Getter Greg,” the second single from You’re Awful, I Love You.  The album rose to #5 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and sold over 100,000 copies.

            With “Go-Getter Greg” featured on AOL’s Music Mainpage, and added to FUSE’s Steven’s Untitled Rock Show, on mtvU, and on Music Choice, Ludo closed out the year with a very successful headlining coast-to-coast tour.  They hit the road again in 2009 for the Broken Bride Tour where they resurrected their 2005 rock opera and performed it in its entirety to the delight of long-time fans nationwide.  They then began the writing and recording for what would become PREPARE THE PREPARATIONS.

Follows-up 2008 RIAA platinum #1 U.S./#1 UK Year Of The Gentleman – with platinum hits “Closer,” two-time Grammy winner “Miss Independent,” and “Mad”

3-time Grammy Award-winning superstar Ne-Yo’s movie career over the past five years has had a profound effect on his work as a composer – revealed in the cinematic story-line of his fourth album, LIBRA SCALE.  

            LIBRA SCALE, scheduled for September 21^st release, is the follow-up to Ne-Yo’s RIAA platinum Year Of The Gentleman, which debuted at #1 on the Soundscan and UK national charts in September 2008.  That album spun off a triumvirate of consecutive RIAA platinum hits: “Closer” (#1 U.S. Dance, #1 UK), “Miss Independent” (#1 U.S. R&B, #1 UK R&B), and “Mad” (#5 U.S. R&B, #3 UK R&B).

            After a sizzling performance of “Beautiful Monster” on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance on July 1^st, Ne-Yo traveled to London to preview tracks from LIBRA SCALE at the swanky Hospital venue one week later.  Tastemakers had a chance to sample the album’s narrative, threading through each of the songs, as explained by Ne-Yo.

            The story centers on the misadventures of ‘The Gentlemen,’ the trio of Jerome (played by Ne-Yo), Clyde and Leroy.  After encountering a mysterious figure, the three are granted everything they could ever want – money, fame, cars, girls…and superpowers;  the only catch being that they cannot fall in love.  For Clyde and Leroy, the pre-condition is easy.  Not so for Jerome (Ne-Yo), who falls for Pretty Sinclair, a vivacious no-nonsense stunner.  He captures her heart and they begin a relationship – which is when she contracts a strain of his super-powers and suffers an adverse reaction that effectively drives her crazy.

            The plot thickens as she is transformed into ‘Diamond Eye,’ a monster who sets about destroying the Gotham-like city.  At this point, the mysterious figure re-appears.  Disappointed in Jerome, he offers him an ultimatum: allow Diamond Eye and Pretty Sinclair both to die, and the city is saved – or allow Pretty Sinclair to live and reverse all the damage Diamond Eye has done, but Jerome must die.  Will he choose “the love of his life” or his own “love of life?”  We are left with Jerome weighing up the decision on a ‘Libra Scale’…hence the album’s title.

New York, NY – Miami- based rock band Atom Smash announces summer tour dates in support of their forthcoming Jive Records debut album Love Is The Missle. Atom Smash will rock fans across the country with stops that include Dallas, Houston and Little Rock and will join Filter, Buckcherry, Cavo, 12 Stones, RED, Shaman’s Harvest, and Black Sunshine on tour.

“Do Her Wrong” (ß click on link to listen) is the first single from Love Is In The Missile and is now available at iTunes. The album is slated for release on August 31^st.

Atom Smash is comprised of Sergio Sanchez (lead vocals), Arnold Nese (bass), Mark Annino (drums) and guitarists Alex “Z” Zilinski’s and Luke “Cowboy” Rice.  Formed in a fairly unconventional manner Atom Smash originated when frontman Sanchez discovered Zelinski, who lived in Austria at the time, via an online classified in 2006.  The band’s lineup solidified in late 2008 when Nese and Annino joined the fold permanently and in the spring of 2010 the final piece was the addition of Rice.

NBC announced the premiere dates of its new Fall 2010-11 primetime schedule.  Beginning the week of September 20, the premiere week schedule features the debuts of the network’s highly anticipated new series – including “The Event,” “Chase,” “Undercovers,” “Law & Order: Los Angeles,” “Outsourced,” “Outlaw” and “School Pride.”  This schedule will be adjusted to accommodate specials and holiday programming.

In addition, NBC again launches the NFL season with NFL Kickoff on Thursday, September 9 at 8 p.m. ET when the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints host the Minnesota Vikings in a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship Game.  “Sunday Night Football” and “Football Night in America” officially debut on Sunday, September 12 when the Washington Redskins host the Dallas Cowboys in one of sports’ most storied rivalries.

 TBS will celebrate the life of George Steinbrenner with a full week of classic Seinfeld episodes featuring Larry David as the legendary New York Yankees owner.  The 10-episode collection will air Monday, July 19 – Friday, July 23, at 7 and 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT).  The week will kick off with “The Opposite,” the fifth-season finale in which George Costanza (Jason Alexander) lands a job with the Yankees.  The tribute will close out with “The Muffin Tops” episode, in which George loses his job when Steinbrenner trades him for new chicken concessions at Yankee Stadium.

In another dramatic results show, injured contestant Ashley Galvan, 19, a Lyrical dancer from Visalia, CA, was eliminated tonight on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Unable to compete in last night’s performance show, Galvan was placed in the bottom three with the two dancers who received the fewest of America’s votes: Billy Bell and Jose Ruiz. Judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mia Michaels and Adam Shankman then announced that due to Galvan’s injury, she was unable to continue in the competition and therefore eliminated.

This week’s results show also featured special performances by singer Christina Perri, members of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and Dizzy Feet Foundation scholarship recipients Fernando Martin-Gullans and Lauren Vayser.

The competition continues next week on a very special episode celebrating the milestone 150^th episode of America’s favorite dance show when the Top 6 (Billy Bell, Kent Boyd, Lauren Froderman, Robert Roldan, Jose Ruiz and Adéchiké Torbert) dance three routines – one with an All-Star partner, one with a fellow contestant and a solo – on a two-hour live performance show Wednesday, July 21 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

On Tuesday, FOX won the night with a two-hour block of HELL’S KITCHEN (3.2/10) that grew +19% among Adults 18-49, +17% among Adults 18-34 and +11% among Total Viewers versus the previous week.

• In the 8p hour, HELL’S KITCHEN beat ABC’s Wipeout by +3% among Adults 18-49 (3.1/10 vs. 3.0/10) and +13% among Adults 18-34 (2.7/10 vs. 2.4/9).
• In head to head competition in the 9p hour, HELL’S KITCHEN also out-delivered NBC’s America’s Got Talent by +3% among Adults 18-49 (3.3/10 vs. 3.2/9) and +11% among Adults 18-34 (3.0/9 vs. 2.7/9).
• Overall for the night, FOX outperformed its nearest competitor (NBC) by +19% among Adults 18-49 (3.2/10 vs. 2.7/8) and +27% in Adults 18-34 (2.8/10 vs. 2.2/7).

 TV Land Picks Up Its Sizzling Series ‘Hot in Cleveland’ for 20 New Episodes Second Season To Start Production In October 2010

Series Premiere Was The Most Watched Sitcom Telecast In The History Of Cable

LOS ANGELES, — TV Land announced today the second season pick-up of its hit original scripted sitcom, “Hot in Cleveland.”  The network will start production of 20 new episodes in October 2010 with a launch tentatively scheduled for January 2011.  Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White will return as series regulars for all 20 episodes.

“We are so excited that ‘Hot in Cleveland’ was embraced by viewers in such a big way,” said Larry W. Jones, president, TV Land.  “We absolutely love the show and can’t wait to see what hilarious new experiences these characters will encounter in the next 20 episodes.”

“Hot in Cleveland” airs on Wednesday nights at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT) and is the network’s first foray into original scripted programming.  The show debuted June 16 to critical acclaim and record-breaking ratings.  The series premiere was the highest-rated and most-watched show in all of cable that day among Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54, Women 18-49, Women 25-54 and Total Viewers according to The Nielsen Company.  To date, the series is averaging a 2.1 rating among Adults 25-54, a 2.7 among Women 25-54, a 1.7 among Adults 18-49 and a 2.1 among Women 18-49.  The show is delivering 4.7 million total viewers.

Following the domestic success, Endemol has acquired “Hot in Cleveland” for global distribution. The show premiered in Canada on July 5, 2010 and quickly became the #1 ranked new import comedy of the year.  The premiere telecast delivered a whopping 1.82 million total viewers, which is the U.S. delivery equivalent of 11.8 million viewers.  Endemol will launch the series at MIPCOM 2010.

Season Seven of HOUSE Premieres Monday, September 20, on FOX

Amber Tamblyn has signed on to appear in the upcoming season of HOUSE for a multi-episode story arc. She will play a brilliant and aggressive medical student whom DR. HOUSE (Hugh Laurie) hires as a new team member although she is technically not yet qualified to practice medicine. Tamblyn’s character will be confronted with the morally and ethically questionable way that House practices medicine.

The seventh season premiere of HOUSE airs Monday, Sept. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

With an impressive resume for a young actress, Amber Tamblyn’s breakout role was the title character in the critically acclaimed television series “Joan of Arcadia.” Her work on the show earned her both Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominations, and for her work opposite Tilda Swinton in the film “Stephanie Daley,” Tamblyn was honored with a Film Independent Spirit Award nomination in 2007. She will next be seen in Danny Boyle’s “127 Hours” opposite James Franco and in John Doyle’s “Main Street” with Orlando Bloom and Colin Firth. Most recently seen in “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” opposite Michael Douglas, Tamblyn’s other film credits include “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2” alongside Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Blake Lively. Additional television credits include “The Unusuals,” “Boston Public” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” An acclaimed writer, Tamblyn has published two poetry books and is a co-founder of WRITE NOW Poetry Society, a non-profit organization that raises funds for poetry programming. She also collaborated on “The Drums Inside Your Chest,” a performance-poetry concert film.

HOUSE is an innovative take on the medical drama in which the villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trusts no one, least of all his patients. The series also stars Lisa Edelstein, Robert Sean Leonard, Omar Epps, Jesse Spencer, Olivia Wilde and Peter Jacobson.

The series has ranked as one of the Top 3 dramas among Adults 18-49 for the past four consecutive seasons. Last season, HOUSE dominated its Monday 8:00-9:00 PM time period across all key demos and tied as the No. 1 drama among Teens.

Laura Burhenn, better known as Saddle Creek artist The Mynabirds, will be kicking off another round of tour dates with her band this weekend.  But before hitting the road she was kind enough to bestow a gift in the form of a video for the bittersweet, stomping anthem “Let The Record Go.”  The clip premiered on Stereogum earlier today and you can check it out HERE as well.  The Mynabirds have also added a slew of shows in September and October, so if you haven’t experienced Laura’s husky, soulful voice in-person, now is your chance.  The run includes dates with Al Green, Built To Spill, Crooked Fingers, and David Bazan.

The former George James vocalist is still riding high off her critically acclaimed debut album as The Mynabirds, What We Lose In The Fire We Gain In The Flood.  Produced by Richard Swift, the album name may sound like an old Eastern proverb, but that’s simply because Laura deliberately came up with a title that would sound like one.  Following the breakup of her former band, she began composing new material that fell into two categories: loss and recovery.  As a result, What We Lose takes a decidedly Zen-like approach to healing that anyone can relate to.

Singer Christina Perri and Members of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre To Perform on Next Results Show Thursday, July 15

In a dramatic results show, injured contestant Alex Wong, 23, a Ballet dancer from Vancouver, Canada, was eliminated tonight on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Unable to compete in last night’s performance show, Wong was placed in the bottom three with the two dancers who received the fewest of America’s votes: Billy Bell and Ashley Galvan. Judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mia Michaels and Adam Shankman then announced that due to Wong’s injury, he was unable to continue in the competition and therefore eliminated.

This week’s results show also featured special performances by pop sensation Natasha Bedingfield, the cast of Broadway’s Tony Award-winning smash hit “In The Heights” and SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE All-Stars Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev.

The competition continues next week on America’s favorite dance show when the Top 7 (Billy Bell, Kent Boyd, Lauren Froderman, Ashley Galvan, Robert Roldan, Jose Ruiz and Adéchiké Torbert) will dance two routines – one with an All-Star partner and one with a fellow contestant – on a two-hour live performance show Wednesday, July 14 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.
